Sunday SCOOP!

I have been wanting to link up with The Teaching Trio for this Linky for a while! While I was browsing her blog did you know she also has a Technology Thursday one?! I will definitely be linking up for that one soon too!! :)

Here is my Sunday Scoop:

3 things I NEED to do:

Okay does the laundry ever end?! And I don't even have kids yet...yikes!!! On top of that...my "To Grade" stack just keeps growing....anyone else's??? I always put off making my salads for the week, but when it is done it is sooo nice to grab one every morning and go!! LOVE it. I love this blog for salad in a jar recipes.

2 things I WANT to do:

Cowboys are so good this season! I will be the first to admit I am a bandwagon fan. They have just stunk for soooo long I gave up. ha! But they're back! Only took like 10 years.. ;) I have had a lot of new product ideas rolling around in my brain for quite a while. I have not really even had a second to sit down and create! Some of my ideas passed me by due to being "fall" themed..oh well! But hopefully today I can start on one!

1 thing that I am HAPPY to do:

Sundays are made for DVR catching up...am i right?! ahhh that is just my favorite! Scandal. Grey's, Dance Moms, Walking Dead; what do I watch first?!

Go link up and share your Sunday Scoop! & come back NEXT week for our Scripture Sunday!! :)

Dallas {Blogger} Meet-Up YALL! :)

eeeek!!!!

Can we just say how excited we were to meet up with some of our favorite Dallas Instagrammers and bloggers?! SO. much. fun!!!

I thought of this back in the summer because a. I have always wanted to go to a Dallas Meet Up but wasn't sure when one was happening anytime soon?! and b. I love stalking following these lovely Dallas ladies and wanted to meet them!

So Amanda, Amber, and I set to work! WHEW! It was a littttleee overwhelming at times. Amanda and I LOVE planning things and any chance to create cute stuff! But- it is super tricky when people have to "commit" to something. Lots of trust going on there y'all ;) Anyways, we planned it at Bucca Di Beppo in Dallas for lunch time. So yummy!!!

We had lots of lovely donations anywhere from Vera Bradley to Stephanie's jewelry to Amanda's mom handmade bags and even your basic card stock and expo markers!! Everyone walked away with a prize. :)

We made gifts for each attendee--in mason jars of course! They got a wash tape, a flair pen, a texan decal, and a list of all the blogger's blogs and Instagram handles!

The conversations happening were awesome! We talked about technology, tpt taxes, Instagram, school, husbands, football, you name it!!! It was a BLAST!!

I can't wait until the next one!!! If you are a Dallas blogger and did not make it we would love to have you there next time!

OH & OMG I almost forgot: our lovely friends Crystal and Carrie FLEW DOWN from Chicago...can you believe that? They love us that much :) I got to take them out to a good old Texas place. It was so fun to meet them in real life!

Here are some of the lovely ladies that attended the meet up! Can't wait to see you all again very soon!!

Five for {FRIDAY}...October 17th

Hey everyone! I hope y'all are having a wonderful day and enjoying the start of this fall weather! This is my absolute favorite time of year! I {LOVE} fall! I am very excited to be linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for {Friday}!
The weeks are flying by this month and this week was amazing! God is continuing to show me His mighty power and grace with the challenges that each day presents! He is so good!
Ashley and I are so excited for our blogger meet-up next Saturday! Planning it has been a little chaotic, but we are very excited to meet everyone and see it all come together! My amazing mom made these adorable cosmetic bags as giveaways for our guests. Cross your fingers if you're coming! :)

This week I had the opportunity to incorporate this amazing Articulation Toolkit from Karen at The Pedi Speechie into my therapy sessions! This set is very comprehensive and is so practical for "on-the-go" therapy. Karen created the toolkit to target all sounds in all positions of a word at the word, phrase and sentence level. This toolkit is very practical for tracking student progress as well! I attached the pages to a binder ring for easy access.

There was also a few {SPOOKY} things happening in the speech room this week! Students made word lists with their target sounds and then we "dressed" them up a bit! :) They absolutely loved this activity and it provided them with a "take home" list to practice at home for carry-over! You can grab the set with all three spooky creatures in our TPT store! I also helped spread a little sunshine to a few other SLPs in our district! Being a part of the Sunshine committee is one of my favorite things about working at a school!

Yum!! Did I mention how much I {LOVE} fall!!? :) We had a chili cook-off at school and they were all so delicious!

And the very {BEST} blessing that happening this week is that my husband and I made out last payment on our car making us DEBT FREE!!! We have now completed BABY STEP #2!! We are extremely blessed by all the doors that God has opened for us to help us achieve this goal. Without Him, none of this would have been possible! We are so very excited for the opportunities that God will bring us now that we are in a stronger financial position!

Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!! :)

Scripture Sunday {Linky Party} 10/13

Happy Sunday blogger friends!!!

Today's scripture was inspired by our current book we are reading, The Best Yes. It is sooo good so far! We are learning all about how to fear the Lord and not what other people think or how they react!

Share this verse with a friend and link up!!

Five for Friday {October 4th}

Hi!

I am a day late with my Five for Friday post! I really did plan on typing it up last night! I was just so. tired. We all know what teacher tired is like right??? This week was a tough week at school! I am sure I am not alone. :) So anyways...my five favorite things from this week!! :)

I am getting my Spooky Solve the Room ready for my kiddos!! They love the math hunts we do, but for some reason I think they love this one the best!! something to do with Halloween I am sure. I put up the math problem cards around the classroom and they go on a hunt with their recording page and a clip board! I usually put it in my math stations so they are not all hunting at once! :)

You can find the Halloween Hunt in our TPT store! You can also grab all 4 for a super discounted price!!!

This week Amanda and I decorated the bulletin board in the lounge! We are in charge of keeping it up to date throughout the year. We love stuff like this so we are so excited to bring some more creativity to our school! This is our "fall" themed board. Who doesn't love football?! (I am watching TCU beat OU as we speak ;) )
Last night, yes FRIDAY night, I finally finished putting my tier 2 documentation binder together. It has been looming over my head for weeks! I have a tab for each friend of mine who needs reading intervention and a tab for each one who needs math. On their tab page I have their Fall data and strands that they need interventions for. This helps me remember who needs what as I am working with them! I have tonsss of sticky notes of what I have been doing, but I hadn't added my new students tabs and data yet! Let's just say I will be at my teacher table a LOT this year!! These babies need lots of reading and math love!

This week two of my table groups got to scan our very first QR code prize of the year!! Their prizes were sit in the teacher's chair all day (ohhhh!!) and use pen all day! Both of these prizes were a hit. They loved scanning the code to see the secret prize pop up! Check it out here!

This past weekend Amanda and I attended a Women's Conference at her church. It was GREAT! We have started reading the She Reads Truth: Open Your Bible plan (a little late) and have a Facebook group going with some girls to discuss the plan with. It has been amazing to have some fellowship and accountability daily! I can't wait for our new bible study to start next week! It is all about the BEST yes, and how to say no to things in order to be able to say yes to BETTER things!
